AC Mitigation

AC mitigation is the process of designing and applying pipeline grounding systems to reduce AC current density to protect against AC induced corrosion, prevent voltage spikes during fault conditions and to maintain AC step & touch potentials below 15V to protect personnel from electric shock.

EAZM CHEMTECH are licensees of Safe Engineering Systems (SES) Right of Way Pro ™ software, which is used for modelling induced AC voltages on pipelines close to high voltage power lines.

EAZM CHEMTECH has successfully conducted over 100 case studies and where required, supplied and implemented mitigation measures.
